Into the Symphony of Light and Time / Kim Doi
Today, I finally visited the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
From afar, the exterior gave the impression of a massive spaceship from outer space, floating serenely on the azure sea.
Overwhelmed by its grandeur and mystery, I gazed at it for a long time, marveling at the architect's profound philosophy even from the museum's exterior.
The harmony of light streaming through the domes was truly breathtaking, and the view from the rooftop staircase, midway through, was difficult to describe.
The sunlight streaming through the dome shattered onto the waves, and the light flowed back across the walls and ceiling, creating a trance-like spectacle that made it seem as if time itself had stopped for a moment.
Stepping inside, the history of the world seemed to flow like a single ray of light. From the rough traces of stone tools to the breath of the Renaissance to modern thought, all eras were quietly conversing within the same space.
For five hours, I spent time with the artworks and the surroundings. I listened to the silence flowing between us. It wasn't a simple appreciation, but a profound journey, tracing the course of human history.
Especially in the paintings, I felt as if I were walking into the works of renowned artists like Chagall, Picasso, Manet, Monet, Gauguin, and Cézanne.
With each passing light, the expressions of the works changed, and with each passing moment, my own heart shifted slightly. Through the delicate brushstrokes and the feast of color, I glimpsed the artists' agony and joy.
As dusk fell, the sunset glow filtered through the domes and spread across the water. A crimson glow tinged the sea, which in turn reflected the museum walls, captivating the end of the day with art.
It was as if light, water, and humanity were all breathing together, forming a grand poem.
Today, I was intoxicated by art, intoxicated by space, intoxicated by light, and ultimately, intoxicated by myself. The Louvre Abu Dhabi, this was not just a simple museum.
Light, water, humanity, and time, breathing together, became a grand poem that will remain deeply etched in my heart.
Today, my journey to Dubai is over. Wrapping up
Tomorrow, I'm leaving for Portugal, where I'll be staying for a long time.
