We visited the Louvre Abu Dhabi on Friday, August 29th. It was our second trip, and we enjoyed it equally as much as the first. Purchasing tickets at the counter was straightforward (63 AED for adults), making the whole process easy and swift. The museum is exceptionally clean and beautifully crafted. The building itself is a sight to behold, with its renowned dome reflecting sunlight like "rain of light." This feature adds a peaceful and distinct experience to exploring the galleries. The photos we've shared represent just a fraction of the treasures inside. Our favorites included the Dancing Shiva, Paul Gauguin's Children Wrestling, the Portrait of Emperor Augustus, the Statue of King Ramesses II, the Amphora depicting Herakles battling the Nemean Lion, the Olmec Colossal Head from Mexico, and the Ottoman armor of both horse and rider. The diversity in cultures and eras is astounding; it's akin to traversing through history at this single location. This museum never fails to amaze us, and we wholeheartedly suggest it to visitors of Abu Dhabi. Whether your interests lie in art, history, or seeking something unique, it's undoubtedly a special spot worth a few hours of your time.
