Aizu Tsuruga Castle was amazing when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom!
Both the cherry blossoms and Tsuruga Castle were the main attraction.
Approximately 1,000 cherry trees are in bloom🌸
Varieties include Somei-Yoshino, Double-flowered, Weeping, and Kohigan cherry trees.

⏰Castle tower 8:30-17:00 (last entrance 16:30)
💰Castle tower entrance fee: 410 yen for adults / 150 yen for children
🚗Tohoku Expressway → Koriyama JCT → Ban'etsu Expressway/Aizu/Niigata direction → Get off at Aizuwakamatsu IC
🚃Get off at Aizuwakamatsu Station on the Ban'etsu West Line, take the city tour bus Haikara-san or Akabee to the Tsuruga Castle entrance
☑︎The roads are crowded during the cherry blossom season
☑︎The bus stop is in front of the station, so it's easy to get on
☑︎The cherry blossoms are in full bloom in mid-April
☑︎Tsuruga Castle Park has the largest illumination in eastern Japan
