▶️A storehouse and house built about 100 years ago by the Fukunishi family, a large merchant family in Aizuwakamatsu,
using their abundant wealth

Located next to the Noguchi Hideyo Youth Museum

▶️The exterior walls of the three storehouses, the storehouse, the Buddhist altar storehouse, and the charcoal storehouse, which are now select shops, are built with black plaster, which is very labor-intensive.

The inside of the storehouses was simply shiny✨ and black.

You can feel how wealthy the Fukunishi family was at that time.

▶️It is currently registered as a "National Registered Tangible Cultural Property".

▶️These shoe boxes are reused from those used in a public bath.

We saw luxurious crafts such as a trick staircase and a folding screen painting.

▶️The transom of the main house had a very detailed pattern carved into it.

It was my first time seeing a floral transom.

It seems that the craftsman stayed there for several months to complete it.

There is also a tea room in the back...
