[Hyogo Prefecture] Visit Iwatsuhime Shrine, the guardian deity of Cape Ako

Iwatsuhime Shrine in Misaki, Ako, is an ancient shrine with a beautiful view of the Seto Inland Sea beyond its torii gate.
It has a long history, and was even mentioned in the Shinmeicho (list of deities) from the early Heian period, about 1,000 years ago.
There is also a theory that the torii gate faces the sea so that fishermen can pray from their boats for safe voyages and good catches. The autumn leaves and sparkling sea were a wonderful place.
