Big Almaty Lake – A Perfect Landscape Discovered While Hiking

During my trip to Almaty, the place I was most looking forward to visiting was Big Almaty Lake. While there is a road accessible by car, I chose the trekking route, slowly ascending on foot to take in the scenery. As the altitude increased and my breath grew heavier, the view expanded, and the lake that finally appeared exceeded all expectations.

The turquoise lake seemed to hold the sky within it, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and reflecting the heavens, creating a picturesque scene. It was a peaceful and tranquil space where the sound of the wind and birds was louder than human voices.

Although the wind was quite chilly due to the high altitude, its refreshing quality seemed to wash away all the fatigue accumulated in the city. You can take a short walk around the lake or relax at the viewpoint to enjoy the panoramic view.

The trekking route is suitable even for beginners, but wearing trekking shoes instead of sneakers is recommended, and bringing a windproof jacket is a must.

Big Almaty Lake is not just a 'beautiful place'; it's a destination where you can experience the awe-inspiring beauty of nature by walking up to it.
