Yinghu Scenic Area is located 15 km southwest of Ankang City. It is the largest artificial lake in Shaanxi, formed after the completion of the Ankang Hydropower Station. The lake is 540 km in circumference and covers an area of 77 square km. On April 24, 1992, Vice Governor Xu Shanlin was amazed by the vastness of the lake and named it Yinghu. On July 28, 1993, the provincial government approved Yinghu Scenic Area as a provincial-level tourist attraction. The scenic area has many attractions, including a large cable-stayed bridge, the power station hub project, Tianzhu Mountain, Baiyun Temple, Yuxing Island, Guanping Island, Niulang and Zhinu Stone, and ancient Han tombs. Boating on the lake, you can enjoy the lake and mountain scenery of the Qinba Mountains and experience the unique customs of southern Shaanxi. It is truly a pleasure in life.
