To Antalya's Old Town...

Having experienced numerous twists and turns in history, including being occupied and then reclaimed by Italy, Antalya begins its journey at the ancient walls that encircle the city along its winding coastline. While the picturesque Old Town of Kaleici (within the castle walls) takes about an hour to explore, you can easily spend several days soaking up the atmosphere and relaxing in cozy restaurants and cafes along the seafront. Wide, palm-lined streets provide shade, while the densely packed wooden houses and alleyways offer a wealth of attractions that evoke a sense of the past.
Mussels and Turkish coffee, both found on the streets, are also a highlight of the Old Town.
