Changbai Mountain Tianchi, Yanji Free Travel Guide

To be honest, when you get to Changbai Mountain, you must soak in the real natural hot springs! The only real natural hot springs are at the Blue View, Crowne Plaza, and Hilton hotels; all others are artificial!

Book your hotel in advance. If your booking includes airport transfer service, contact the hotel ahead of time for pick-up, as the hot spring hotels are about 30 minutes away from the town. Save wherever you can.

On the first night, just relax at the hotel, soak in a hot spring, and have a good night's sleep. The next day, head to Tianchi. Since the hotel is on the mountain, ask the hotel concierge about ticket booking; you might be able to save on an 80-yuan bus ticket. Whether you can see Tianchi depends on your luck, just like love, haha 😂.

After Tianchi, visit the waterfall. There are shuttle vehicles available. Just ask if you don't know the way. It's a 20-minute walk to the waterfall point. Remember to buy hot spring-boiled eggs for 10 yuan (3 pieces) on your way back; they are really delicious! Also, try a cup of Changbai Mountain ginseng milk tea for 20 yuan; it's very tasty!

You can skip the remaining attractions. Head back to the hotel early for dinner, rest, and more hot spring soaking!

Important things to say three times! Soak in the hot springs! Soak in the hot springs! Soak in the hot springs! The hot springs here are really great!!!!!!

It's a 100-meter walk from the room to the hot spring area, and there's also a free Mercedes-Benz shuttle service. You can take the car if it's cold.

On the third day, have breakfast (nothing special) and proceed with your other plans. The hotel will take you to the train station or the town.

By the way, the hotel usually costs over 1,000 yuan and includes hot spring tickets for 2 adults and 1 child. You can soak in the hot springs as many times as you want during your stay! The average daily cost, including meals, is around 700-800 yuan per person. I paid the full price myself, haha, sharing complete, haha.

As for Yanji, just visit it on the way. Honestly, it's just about taking a photo at the internet-famous wall opposite the university. The so-called delicacies (probably not to my taste) are quite average. You can find similar Korean restaurants locally, and the BBQ and fried skewers can't compare to other places . If you like sweet food, you might enjoy the food here .
