Anyue Stone Carvings|A Gentle Moment Gazing at Millennia-Old Stone Carvings

Stepping through the mountain gate,
time quietly slows its pace.
The moss-soaked stone path
winds, leading me to another time and space.
The wind brushes the treetops, carrying whispers of earth and plants.
At the corner, the entire cliff face of carvings slowly unfolds,
like an unrolled ancient scroll thousands of years old.

🪷 Reclining Buddha Courtyard · Time lies down here
At the first glimpse of the Reclining Buddha,
even my breath softens.
He rests quietly between the cliffs,
like a frozen ancient poem.
His half-closed eyes and peaceful lips
make the hurried me pause.
We are always swimming through time,
and he has become time itself.

🪷 Purple Bamboo Guanyin · Sitting freely watching the clouds rise
Strolling to the opposite shore of the pond,
only then do I see her full form.
That leaning posture, the slightly raised toes,
not a lofty deity,
but more like a fairy who has wandered into the mortal world.
Her flowing robes flutter, carrying the winds of a thousand years.
Most unforgettable is that faint smile—
three parts compassion, seven parts understanding.
Raising the camera, then gently putting it down,
some beauty is only meant to be kept in the heart.

🪷 Thousand Buddha Fortress · Listening to the incomplete poems
Following the stone steps upward,
countless Buddha images adorn the ancient cliff.
Each one is an unfinished quatrain.
Eroded outlines, mottled robes,
all tell stories of time.
It turns out true eternity
is hidden in these gentle imperfections.

As dusk falls,
the sunset drapes the carvings in a golden veil.
Looking back, those tranquil faces
still smile softly deep in time,
as if to say—
this long life, take it slow.
