Japanese accommodation: Tatami family room at Aomori JR station

On the second day we set off for Aomori and would stay there for two days. We chose a hotel near the station because we had to take a bus to Lake Towada very early.

📍Location: Very close to the JR station, about three minutes away, and a two-minute walk to the nearby Aomori Bay Bridge, Nebuta House Museum and Aomori Prefecture Tourism Products Center.

🤵🏻Service: The staff and the boss should be an older lady who knows a little English. She will first introduce the public bathroom, rules, etc. You can store your luggage, but you have to carry it to the second floor by yourself; you can take the kettle by yourself and ask her for hot or cold water. Her attitude is very friendly.

🏠Room: Tatami double room JPY7200
Advantages: There is a small refrigerator and clothes hangers in the room, as well as a kettle, tea bags and snacks! The entire room is covered with tatami, and the area is large enough that two large suitcases can be opened for storage. The bed and quilt are thick and warm, and the overall atmosphere is Japanese family style.

Disadvantages: There is only one bathroom, if someone is taking a shower, you have to wait and queue. There is a toilet and two washbasins on each floor, but there is no separate bathroom in the room. The soundproofing is not good, but the guests know how to keep quiet. The view from the window is to an empty lot, so the view is average.

In summary, it is an inexpensive family hotel with a convenient location and comfortable sleep. I will recommend it to my friends.
