Asahiyama Zoo: Peacock House, Chicken and Duck House

There are also birds at Asahiyama Zoo. Chickens are known for laying eggs, and although I've never seen them up close... I had fun watching how they moved, and didn't take any photos at all! (I regret it...)

I had imagined male peacocks spreading their wings, but there were only two of them... but I was able to see the moment they spread their wings and how they shook their wings to appeal to the female, and it was fun for me too, and the adults were watching so intently that the children were saying, "Not yet?" There were many adults like that around.

And by chance, I was able to see them feeding, and it was Chinese cabbage. What's more, they stuck the Chinese cabbage in the feeding area, and the peacocks were pecking at it and eating it.

They may be a little plain, but the peacocks are especially worth seeing! ! !
