#Asakusa is another one of our favorite areas in Tokyo. Besides the iconic Sensoji Temple, the surrounding area is also lined with shops and restaurants, making it a foodie's paradise.
Today, we've rounded up three of our favorite restaurants in Asakusa.
(These are just my personal opinions. 😄)

Asamurai
Eel Donburi 🍘
They have a wide variety of eel dishes to choose from.
We ordered the eel sushi for ¥630 per piece.
😋🍘The grilled eel was fragrant, with soft meat and crispy skin, and the sweet sauce was generously poured over it. It was a large, filling piece. I personally love it!

Matcha ice cream with 7 levels of richness to choose from. 🍨💚 They also have other flavors.
🍵In addition to ice cream, They also have a menu of matcha drinks and desserts that look absolutely delicious. The menu here isn't too sweet, which is perfect for me.

𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗦𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆
We ordered the Special Matcha Cream Puff for 530 yen each. The matcha cream was incredibly fragrant, rich, and smooth, and not too sweet. The cream filling was generous, so much so that my mouth was turning green. 😂 The puff pastry was just right, not too hard or too soft. Paired with matcha cream, it's a perfect match without being too rich.
In addition to the Cream Puff menu, there are also desserts and drinks made with matcha and other ingredients, as well as matcha souvenirs for sale.
