Aso Shrine, an ancient shrine with a history of more than 2,500 years, is known as one of the three major gates in Japan. However, it collapsed and was completely destroyed in the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake. Fortunately, it has now been restored.

The shrine enshrines Kenwa Ryumei, the founder of Aso, and twelve other gods. It is said that if you pass through the gate, Kenwa Ryumei's incarnation of a dragon will cut off all disasters.
