[Shizuoka/Hashiriyu Source] A shrine unique to a hot spring area

The staircase that leads from Izusan Shrine to Hashiriyu forms the approach to the hot spring.
There are 837 steps!

It is connected by the energy of a red and white dragon, the guardian deity of the hot springs.
This dragon stretches from the source to the summit of Mt. Izu.

Hashiriyu's source is a rare horizontal cave source, and is one of Japan's three oldest hot springs.
The cave where the source is located was hot and humid, just like a sauna.
And it's no wonder, as about 100 liters of 70-degree hot spring water flows upriver every minute.
