One of the oldest mosques in Ankara

Although it is called the New Mosque, it was founded in 1565 during the first half of the Ottoman Empire and is one of the oldest mosques in Ankara. It is located very close to the Ulcanlar Prison Museum, not far from the Old Town of Ulus, so it is recommended to visit both. The Chess Museum is also within walking distance.
There are also many restaurants serving traditional Turkish cuisine in the surrounding area.
