Think fireworks festivals are only for summer?
Atami's fireworks festival is held every month from April to December (there was no June festival this year). It's a rare year-round event that can be enjoyed even in winter. 🎇
⸻
🔥Recommended Points
☀︎ Rain or shine! No cancellations, making it easy to plan your trip. ✨
☀︎ Held monthly (spring, summer, fall, winter)
☀︎ Less crowded and more comfortable than fireworks festivals in Tokyo and Yokohama!
☀︎ Completely free 🎆 → No paid seating required. Enjoy the view from the beach!
⸻
🚃Access Information
・Within walking distance of JR Atami Station!
・One train ride away on the Shinkansen or Tokaido Line. About 40 minutes to an hour from Tokyo. 🚄
・It's downhill from the station to the beach, and uphill on the way back, so we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. 👟
☀︎ Just search "Atami Sun Beach."
☀︎ The venue may be crowded and confusing right at the entrance, but once you enter, turn left and go down to the deck. It's empty. Please refer to the last photo.
⸻
🏞There are plenty of other things to do in the area!
・Make onsen eggs at the Seven Hot Springs 🥚♨️
・Explore nature and power spots at Kurinomiya Shrine 🌳
・From the station to the shopping district, you'll find a wide selection of gourmet food and souvenirs reminiscent of a traditional hot spring resort. 🍡
☀︎This is one of the few areas around Tokyo where you can experience "old-fashioned Japan." Kamakura and Atami are tranquil areas popular with Japanese people. 💕
⸻
✅Notes
・The sea breeze can be chilly at night, so bring a jacket or jacket for added security. 🧥
・The event dates change monthly, so be sure to check the official Atami City website in advance. 📆
・We recommend arriving early to secure the best spot!
