The Maria Cristina Falls is also called as the "Queen of Philippine Waterfalls". It is a breathtaking waterfalls with a height of 320 feet which ranks 8th as one of the tallest/highest waterfalls in the Philippines. An interesting legend surrounds this twin waterfall when twin sisters were bathing in Agus River, Maria got swept by the current and Cristina tried to save her. Unfortunatel due to the strength of the current both of them drowned and thus people call the waterfall now as Maria Cristina Falls. An interesting fact: 70% of Mindanao's energy is from this falls.
