View of Auckland from the top of Mount Eden

Mount Eden is located close to Auckland CBD and can be reached easily by public transport as well. Climbing to the summit lookout point is a little steep in some areas but can be completed in less than half an hour.

Make sure to visit the visitor center that is located halfway up Mount Eden as well. It is located in the same building as a cafe and has lots of information on the history of the area.

Once at the top, you have a great 360 degree view of Auckland as well as the crater of Mount Eden.
