Kek Lok Si Temple @Penang

The Kek Lok Si Temple, located in Air Itam, Penang, Malaysia, tt is the largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia, and is famous and an important pilgrimage center for Buddhists in Southeast Asia.

This temple has the seven-storey Pagoda of the late Thai king Rama VI, known as the pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas with 10,000 alabaster and bronze statues of Buddha, and the 120 ft bronze statue of Kuan Yi, the Goddess of Mercy.

Some part of the temple was destroyed in October 2021 due to fire break out, however, the temple still in operated and open to the public. The renovation is still on going, and public are welcome to do donation. Open daily from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm.
