Badlands (SD)

The Badlands blew me away — sharp ridges, colorful layers of rock, and endless prairie stretching to the horizon. It looks harsh, almost alien, but when the sun rises and paints the formations in pink and gold, it’s pure magic. I hiked trails that cut through jagged canyons and climbed up to viewpoints where the land looked like a sea of stone waves. Bison and bighorn sheep roamed freely, adding to the wild feel. The Badlands are raw, dramatic, and humbling. It’s a place that makes you stop and realize how ancient this earth really is. #holidayitinerary
