The Heydar Mosque (Azerbaijani: Heydər Məscidi) is one of the most impressive and largest mosques in Baku, Azerbaijan — a true architectural and spiritual landmark. Situated in the Binagadi district of Baku, about 10–15 minutes’ drive from the city center. Named After: Heydar Aliyev, the late President of Azerbaijan. Capacity: Can accommodate up to 75,000 worshippers, making it the largest mosque in the South Caucasus. Built in a classical Islamic style with a grand central dome (55 m high).
