Hongjing Scenic Area is located in Ruijin, Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province. It is a national 5A-level scenic spot and an important part of the Cradle of the Republic Tourist Area. In 1931, the Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic was established in Ruijin. The government was initially located in Yeping, but later moved to Shazhouba due to the bombing of the Kuomintang. Chairman Mao Zedong lived in the village of Shazhouba. In 1933, Comrade Mao Zedong led the cadres and the masses to dig a well, which not only solved the problem of drinking water for the local people, but also became a historical witness of the close relationship between the Communist Party of China and the people. The well is a reminder of the saying, "When you drink water, think of the person who dug the well." It has become an important carrier of red culture. Many precious historical relics and materials of Comrade Mao Zedong's work and life in Ruijin are preserved here, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of that glorious history. Hongjing Scenic Area not only carries rich red history and culture, but also attracts tourists with its unique natural landscape. Visitors can visit historical sites, experience the charm of red culture, and enjoy the beautiful natural scenery.
