Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Ubud’s Hidden Paradise

For this trip, we chose Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Ubud, Bali, and it truly is a luxurious and secluded holiday paradise. The hotel is located along the picturesque Ayung River, about a 1.5-hour drive from the airport. The airport transfer service was very professional, allowing us to arrive at the resort worry-free. ✈️

From the moment we arrived, we could feel its uniqueness. Mandapa belongs to the high-end Ritz-Carlton Reserve collection, focusing on understated luxury and natural seclusion. The hotel’s design perfectly blends with nature, hidden among lush greenery, with every detail exuding strong Balinese charm. The front desk staff were very warm and attentive, and check-in was even completed in our room, which was incredibly thoughtful! Each room also has a dedicated butler service to help arrange various activities and transfers. 🏡

Regarding the room experience, the hotel’s rooms are spacious and peaceful, stylish and modern in decor, yet retain strong local character. Our room faced the Ayung River, and opening the window revealed a sea of green—so relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring high-quality sleep during our stay. The room’s amenities were comprehensive, even including the freshest milk prepared for our baby. 🛏️🌿

The hotel offers a wide range of activities, with excellent facilities including a kids’ room, gym, yoga studio, and swimming pool. 📸 Breakfast was enjoyed by the Ayung River, listening to the flowing water while eating—pure bliss! Besides the abundant breakfast, the hotel’s dinner was also outstanding, especially at the Kubu restaurant, which is Michelin-level. The fruit platters by the pool were complimentary, which was very thoughtful. 🌞🍽️

There are many nearby restaurants worth visiting, such as Balinese Home Cooking, Room 4 Dessert, and Honey & Smoke, all offering rich Balinese specialties. Food lovers definitely shouldn’t miss them. We also made a special trip to try the nearby rafting activity; it’s recommended to book in advance, costing about 1200 RMB per person. 🍲🍕🚣‍♂️

The only minor downside was that the butler’s responses at night were a bit slow, possibly because one butler has to take care of many rooms. But overall, the service here was superb, with staff being very warm and professional—you could feel their enthusiasm every time they greeted us. 🏝️

In short, we had an unforgettable holiday at Mandapa. The comfortable environment, thoughtful service, and delicious food made us reluctant to leave. Whether for a family vacation or honeymoon, Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, is a perfect choice. We will definitely come back! 🌊🙌
