#indonesiatrip
Here are some truths about the insta worthy famous rice terrace
It is known as a very popular tourist spot and also a *tourist trap* because of several reasons below:

🌾The area is surrounded with lots of cafes that even offered you a fee for looking at the rice terrace in the valley
🌾You have to pay so called owner fees to hike the rice terrace as the land is owned by different people
🌾Come here really early, as early as before 7am as the porter has not yet arrived at the stair gate where they usually collect their entrance fee and you get the place for free
🌾The area is actually really wet and muddy all year around especially during monsoon season so please bring your best hiking gear or best yet *slippers*
🌾Avoid posing with any of the props given by the local unless you want to support them bcs it is not free!

But it is still so worth to visit just be aware of all the reasons above so you would not have culture shock when visiting!
