| Low-key Old Money The Legian. 📍Seminyak🏝 Adjacent to Samaya
One of only three LHW hotels in Bali, it has always been our go-to with 80 suites, 11 villas, and one presidential suite. The first work of Jaya Ibrahim, built in 1996, the atmosphere is great, mainly European tourists, and they are all regulars. I met a white guest at the gym who mentioned having stayed here before.

All suites have a living room, a large bathroom, a guest toilet, kitchen, and bedroom balcony. The balcony doesn’t feel as impressive as last time, but the sunset is absolutely stunning. Possibly due to its age, the only thing not fully considered is the wardrobe, but it’s already enough for a week’s stay.

My favorite here is the three-level infinity pool, similar to Amankila but reversed, with the lower level bigger than the upper one. Not sure if it’s because of the holiday season + approaching summer vacation.
This time, it felt like there were noticeably more kids in the pool than last time, so indeed, over the past two or three decades, old money keeps coming back here.
Just as Lonely Planet once introduced it — the discreet choice of the wealthy.

Breakfast is a Western-style buffet, while lunch and dinner are authentic Western cuisine.

There are daily yoga, pilates, and similar classes to choose from. I took a nutrition class; the instructor lives in Bali. Spa, sauna, jacuzzi,
Highly recommend the spa here, which also offers sea views from the villa. The boutique shop has great taste, and you can conveniently pick up a couple of souvenirs.

Service is excellent. Every time I entered, there were 2+ staff cleaning. I left something behind in a rush when leaving; after emailing them, they responded quickly and contacted me via WhatsApp to deliver it to the hotel we stayed at afterward. Although there was a charge, the entire communication was timely, fast, and smooth.
