A Must-Visit Immersive Shopping Experience at Ubud Market, Bali

♥ When you come to Bali, you definitely can’t miss Ubud Market.
Every time I visit Bali, I always stay in Ubud for a few days to shop at Ubud Market.

★ Ubud Market
Ubud Market is the central landmark of Ubud, located opposite the Ubud Palace. It is the oldest art market in the area, known in Indonesian as "Pasar Seni Ubud." This market was also a filming location for the movie "Eat Pray Love."

Ubud Market is open every day. Currently, due to the construction of a new market building, only about one-third of the street-facing shops are operating. Most of the goods sold in the market are made in nearby villages. The products range from romantic dreamcatchers, cool camisoles, handmade woven rattan bags, Indonesian-style wooden sculptures, colorful shell decorations to various handcrafted items. If you want to buy souvenirs with local characteristics, Ubud Market is highly recommended.

✍ About Prices
Ubud Market used to be a place for locals to shop. As its fame has grown, it has become a must-visit spot for tourists from all over the world. Therefore, prices are generally high now, and you must bargain hard when shopping here.
When you are surprised by the price quoted by the seller, they will proactively tell you that bargaining is allowed. Don’t worry about communication issues; the sellers all have calculators, and you can use the calculator in their hands to negotiate the price.

✍ Photo Opportunities
Ubud Market is not only great for shopping but also very photogenic.
The atmosphere is very charming, with a unique island holiday vibe.
If you want to take photos of the vendors and their shops, remember to ask for their permission first.
