My trip to Indonesia fulfilled my childhood adventure dream

Indonesia's scenery is truly unbelievably dreamy!
Volcanoes, blue fire, islands—it feels like an unreal adventure.
Although the whole journey was tiring and dangerous, it still fulfilled my childhood adventure dream.

📅【Time】
1. The twin volcanoes are located in Surabaya. From May to October, rainfall is relatively low, so this period is recommended for visiting.
2. The Bromo scenic area closes during local cultural ceremonies, so remember to check online before departure to avoid those days.

🪪【Visa】
Indonesia offers visa on arrival with two options:
1. Apply for an e-visa online in advance, which is fast and convenient;
2. Queue at the airport after landing to pay, which is also convenient.

💰【Currency】
WeChat Pay and Alipay are not accepted locally. It is recommended to bring a Visa/Mastercard credit card or cash. You can also exchange currency at Bank of China or foreign exchange counters at international airports (USD/IDR, about 3,000 RMB per person is enough, approximately 6 million IDR).

📶【Communication】
Search for Indonesian SIM cards on Trip.com, select the appropriate number of days, and have it delivered to your home.

🚗【Transportation】
It is recommended to find a travel agency on Trip.com to book a car package; they can help solve transportation issues like cars and boats.

🗓️【Itinerary】
Enter via Surabaya, exit via Bali, heading east all the way.
Day 1: Arrive at Surabaya Airport - hotel near Bromo
📌 Recommended to sleep by 6 PM to prepare for Bromo at 2 AM.
Day 2: Bromo - crater - hotel near Ijen
📌 The itinerary is relatively relaxed; sunrise is short, so make sure to capture photos quickly.
Day 3: Ijen - Wainamu Pier - Bali hotel - Kuta Beach
📌 Hiking at Ijen round trip takes about 3 hours; it is recommended to choose a rickshaw.
Day 4: Bali - Nusa Penida Island (West Line) - Bali
📌 The West Line is a classic photo route, more suitable for working travelers.
Day 5: Bali Airport - return trip

🏨【Accommodation】
Day 1: JIWA JAWA RESORT
(Bromo Jiwa Jawa Resort)
Good environment, good service, close to Bromo, average cost performance.
Day 2: Grand Harvest Resort & Villas
(GRAND HARVEST VILLAS RESORT)
Good environment, good service, rooms are humid, moderate cost performance.
Day 3-4: Tribe Bali Kuta Beach

💡【Tips】
1. Bring a power adapter: European standard with two round pins.
2. The gas masks provided at Ijen are not disposable; it is recommended to bring your own gas mask and goggles for sulfur protection.
3. It is windy on the mountain at night; bring a windbreaker, quick-dry clothes, and if you feel cold, also bring fleece.
