Romantic Deep Travel in Bali: Encounter Beauty on the Island of the Gods!

Bali has always been my dream destination, and after visiting in person, I’ve put together this super practical guide to help those of you planning a trip to Bali!

📍Visa: Chinese citizens with a passport valid for more than 6 months can enter visa-free for 30 days. Remember to check your passport’s validity before departure to avoid any travel delays.

✈️Flights: Keep an eye on flight prices 2-3 months in advance to get better deals. I flew from Guangzhou, and the round trip cost about 3500 RMB. Also, watch out for connecting flights; sometimes transiting through Kuala Lumpur or Singapore lets you explore those cities too.

🏨Accommodation:

- Ubud: I recommend staying in homestays near the rice fields. Opening your window in the morning reveals endless greenery, with prices around 300-500 RMB per night. For example, Ubud Kamania Villas offers a great environment and even rice field yoga experiences.
- Kuta: If you want to be close to the beach for surfing and nightlife, the Sheraton Kuta Resort is a good choice, priced at 500-800 RMB per night.
- Nusa Dua: For a high-end resort experience, the Westin Resort Nusa Dua is worth staying at. It’s beachfront with full facilities, starting at 800 RMB per night.

🌟Must-Visit Spots:

- Uluwatu Cliffs (Lover’s Cliff): The entrance fee is affordable. Visit around 5 PM to avoid harsh sunlight and catch a stunning sunset. Remember to wear a long skirt for great photos, but watch out for mischievous monkeys—don’t let them steal your stuff.
- Jimbaran Beach: One of the world’s top ten most beautiful sunsets. Enjoy seafood BBQ on the beach at dusk while watching the sunset—amazing experience. Choose a spot in the third row near the sea for the best value and view.
- Ubud Palace and Market: Great places to experience Balinese culture and art. The palace architecture is exquisite, and the market sells handicrafts and local snacks. Don’t forget to bargain with the vendors to save money.
- Nusa Lembongan: About a 30-minute speedboat ride away. The Devil’s Tear offers a breathtaking rainbow cliff view. Snorkeling here is fantastic, with beautiful underwater scenes. It’s recommended to book a day tour online in advance.

🍜Food Recommendations:

- Dirty Duck Dish: Crispy skin, tender duck meat, served with special sauce and coconut rice—super satisfying with every bite. Recommended at Bebek Bengil restaurant.
- Roast Suckling Pig Rice: Ibu Oka in Ubud is famous for this. Crispy roast pig paired with spiced rice tastes amazing.
- Indonesian Fried Noodles: You can find authentic versions at street stalls, with rich sauce and chewy noodles.

❗Notes:

- Respect local religious customs; dress appropriately when entering temples and remember to remove your shoes.
- Prepare sunscreen and mosquito repellent as the sun is strong and mosquitoes are plentiful here.
- Using Grab for rides is more convenient, with transparent pricing to avoid being overcharged.
- Exchange currency at official exchange points, and pay attention to exchange rates and fees.
