Bali isn’t just full of stylish cafés. If you’re looking for something “truly delicious,” you should go to a warung like this.
In Canggu, the popular spot among both locals and Western travelers is "Warung Local." Here, you can customize Indonesia’s home-cooked dish "Nasi Campur" to your liking! Choose from over 20 side dishes displayed in a glass case, like tempeh, vegetables, curry-flavored chicken, spring rolls, and more, then have them served on your plate. My recommendation is the peanut-flavored stir-fried tempeh and the sweet and spicy chicken. Prices start at about 400 yen per plate. I ended up piling on too much 😂 but was completely satisfied with the generous portions◎
The interior is surprisingly stylish and clean for a warung. There’s also a covered terrace seating area, making it easy to drop by in sandals after the beach. Even on days when you’re tired from sightseeing, you can relax here with the “gentle flavors” 🍛
