Bali Asli in Karangasem was a beautiful and grounding experience. Set on a hillside with views of rice fields and Mount Agung, the open-air space felt peaceful and connected to nature. I had the Megibung lunch—a series of traditional Balinese dishes served family-style, all made with local, fresh ingredients. The flavors were bold yet balanced, and everything—from the sambal to the rice—told a story of the island. It’s more than just a meal; it’s a cultural experience.
