On the way to Dejima Wharf, there is the Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum. It is an impressive place with glass walls on all sides that let in sunlight from all sides and provide a view of the scenery.
In particular, water flows between the buildings and there is a passage connecting them. The permanent exhibition on the first floor was about Japanese language and traditional Japanese paintings.
On the first floor, there is a permanent exhibition hall, a souvenir shop, and a rest area.
On the second floor, there is a cafe where you can enjoy coffee and dessert while looking out over Nagasaki Dejima.
