🏨 Why choose Ayana?
Initially torn between Potato Head and Ayana, but the moment I saw Ayana’s H2O pool, I was instantly won over! As a "pool lover," this place is pure paradise—there are 12 pools in the entire resort, and three days and two nights are simply not enough to try them all!
🔍 Room Selection Suggestions
- Ayana Resort: Classic old-money style, prime location (close to Rock Bar and main pool)
- Rimba by Ayana: More cost-effective, with a younger design
- Ayana Forest Villas: Highly private but expensive, perfect for honeymooners
⚠️ Tip: The resort’s free shuttle runs every 10 minutes, so no matter where you stay, it’s convenient—no need to overthink it!

🌅 Must-Do Experiences
1️⃣ Kubu Beach (Recommended rating: ★★★★★)
- Hidden tip: Take the cliff elevator down (watch out for mischievous monkeys 🐒 along the way). The best time is at sunset from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Staff will remind you to leave at sunset.
- Photo spot: The reef area on the right side of the beach is less crowded and offers beautiful views!
2️⃣ Rock Bar (Recommended rating: ★★★☆☆)
- Avoid disappointment:
- Book one day in advance! Ask the front desk to help you reserve upon check-in (best time 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM).
- Sunset on cloudy days is usually underwhelming, but ordering a cocktail (about 120k Indonesian Rupiah) and listening to the waves is still worth it.
3️⃣ Must-try for Pool Lovers
- Ocean Beach Pool (★★★★★): Enjoy a coconut drink while soaking in the pool and watching the sunset, enhanced by the music vibe from nearby Rock Bar!
- River Pool (★★★★★): The famous H2O pool! Open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, recommended to arrive before 8:00 AM (1 minute per person limit, staff can help take photos).
- Rimba Pool (★★★★☆): Surrounded by flowers, perfect for relaxing after breakfast.

🍽️ Restaurant Highlights
🔥 Toge Restaurant (★★★★★)
- Must-try: Cauliflower beef, dragon fruit yogurt bowl! The breakfast buffet includes Indonesian-style fried noodles, and coffee is available to-go.
- Tips: Arrive early for window seats to enjoy jungle views.
Other options:
- Kisik Seafood BBQ: Romantic sunset dinner but pricey (around ¥500+ per person).
- Ah Yat Abalone: A savior for Chinese cuisine cravings, great for families.
-
💡 Practical Tips
1. Service details: Staff will proactively offer to take your photos; remember to tip (10k-20k Indonesian Rupiah).
2. Monkey warning: Monkeys near the Kubu Beach elevator may snatch phones/glasses, so keep them secure!
3. Pool hours: Some pools (like H2O) are only open for photos in the early morning, so plan your schedule accordingly.
4. Transportation: Airport to Ayana takes about 30 minutes. Book hotel transfer in advance (more expensive than taxi but more reassuring).

📌 Summary
Ayana is perfect for those who want a "relaxing vacation + photo ops." Pools, service, and dining are all top-notch, but costs are higher (a juice costs about ¥50). If you want to save money, stay at Rimba and enjoy all Ayana facilities!
