🌴 Beach, Sand and The Perfect Getaway

I stayed at Indigo for two nights last week. There's a lot to appreciate about the hotel: it's very close to the beach, just a quick card tap to get there, and the rooms are spacious with nice decor and a comfortable bed that comes with a pillow menu. The outdoor breakfast area is lovely and cozy, offering a substantial selection. I highly recommend trying the 'jamu' drink at the entrance. The staff is friendly, with Ratna, who checked us in, being particularly helpful. This could have been a 5-star review except for two issues: we got a room on the top floor (3rd floor), where we heard a consistent thud all day and night. We found out the next morning that our room was next to the cargo/staff lift and store room. Also, when we checked out at 10:30 am, which is a busy time, I was second in line but realized the person ahead of me wasn't checking out; she was booking a massage and couldn't decide, causing a delay. The staff continued assisting her instead of calling for additional help, and the checkout line grew. We eventually had to ask her to step aside so people could continue checking out, as some of us had flights to catch. We attempted to use the IHG desk since we're members, but they directed us to remain in the checkout line. For a 5-star hotel like Indigo, we expected better handling of the situation.
