Eat like a local, where nice food hidden in a small corner at Balik Pulau

#traveldiaries
In Penang, good food lies everywhere and you just have to hunt for them, sometimes trial and error until you found one, and you feel utmost satisfying. Recently, we fpund a nice hawker shop called G Taste 1818 located at Balik Pulau. The Char Koay Teow stall owner is well known locally as he resembles a famous actor called Daniel Wu. There are other stalls like Fish Head Noodles and Curry Mee. We ordered the upgraded version of Char Koay Teow (size up, extra prawns and eggs), and a bowl of tom yum noodles with fish, prawns and mantis prawns. They tasted so good and original, and these really brings back the memories I had eating hawker food as I am posted overseas. The best thing is that you get to enjoy the breeze as well while enjoying your good food. This will be my go to place whenever I visit Penang.
