Two-day and one-night tour of Bama, the longevity village of Guangxi, and its hidden gems

I just finished a two-day, one-night trip to Bama, and I was completely captivated by this secret longevity spot on the Tropic of Cancer! It turns out the legendary "natural oxygen bar" really exists!

During the National Day holiday, you can directly follow my homework and explore the secrets of this longevity town.

🚗Transportation Options:
1️⃣ Driving is more flexible and convenient. You can first check into a local hotel, drop off your luggage, and then depart.
2️⃣ Public transportation: Take a bus. For example, in Nanning, you can take a bus from Wuxu Airport and Anji Bus Station. In Baise, walk a few hundred meters from Baise High-Speed Railway Station to the bus station and take a bus. Itinerary Overview
Day 1: Bainiao Rock (Water-Flying Bird Cave) → Longevity Island (Yao Ethnic Culture + Bonfire Party)
Day 2: Crystal Palace (Underground Art Palace) → Baimo Cave (Natural Oxygen Bar with Magnetic Therapy)
Day 1️⃣
Morning:
Visit Bainiao Rock, also known as the Hundred Birds Cave, named for the swallows nesting and bats flying inside. The entire tour involves a "three-day, three-night" boat trip. The boat will pass through three completely dark sections, followed by three natural skylights. The alternating light and shadow effects are truly amazing! Since it's all on the water and in the cave, it's generally cool, so bring a jacket.
Afternoon:
Depart for Longevity Island on Cifu Lake. Surrounded by picturesque mountains, the scenery is breathtaking. Highlights:
🌟The Chinese Health Culture Gallery showcases 5,000 years of Chinese health preservation theories and Bama's longevity culture.
🌟Fragrant Pig Race: Watch Bama's specialty fragrant pigs race – super adorable!
🌟Wind-Blowing-Fan Feast Dinner and Bonfire Party on Longevity Island
🌟"Dreaming of Bama": Authentic Yao Ethnic Song and Dance
Day 2️⃣:
Morning:
Crystal Palace · Underground Crystal World
After breakfast at the hotel, head to the Crystal Palace. Named "China's Most Beautiful Developed Tourist Cave" by National Geographic China, it truly lives up to its reputation! The diverse stalactites are breathtakingly beautiful under the illumination. (P.S.: The cave floor can be a bit slippery, so wearing non-slip shoes is recommended. There are no restrooms inside the cave, so remember to use them in advance.)
Noon:
Lunch at the Longevity Village. Admire the enormous "Shou" character on the mountain. Stroll across the suspension bridge and watch the river flow through the mountains. Afternoon:
Depart to Baimo Cave, a typical karst landform featuring caves, underground rivers, and cenotes.
Upon entering, I saw numerous koi carp swimming freely in the skylight. The air was incredibly fresh, with a high concentration of negative oxygen ions! Many people come here specifically for oxygen inhalation and magnetic therapy, which are said to be beneficial for health. The back of the cave is covered in lush vegetation, and the Tyndall light filtering through the skylight casts a pristine, hidden beauty on the vegetation.

🏨Accommodation: I stayed at the Bama Shouxiang Hotel, conveniently located across from Shouxiang Square in the city center.
🥘Local specialties include Bama Xiang pig, fire hemp chicken, and a dustpan banquet.
If you're tired of the hustle and bustle of the city, why not visit Bama and experience the charm of slow living and natural wellness?
