🏡 Wat Takhian was established in 1792. In the past, the temple alternated between periods of activity and abandonment until Luang Pu Yaem Piyawanno became the abbot. He developed the temple continuously, bringing it to its current state.
🙏 Luang Pu Yaem was highly skilled in traditional medicine, treating locals and gaining fame. He also created sacred objects and inscribed the "Five Buddhas" yantra, known as the Great Element Yantra, along with his unique Maha Bao Yantra.
Key attractions within the temple include:
🏚 The old ordination hall, built during the Ayutthaya period, housing ancient Buddha statues.
🏠 The new ordination hall, where Luang Por Phutthakhodom is enshrined. Visitors can participate in the ceremony of passing through the temple by entering through the tiger's mouth and exiting through the dragon's mouth.
🙏 The Viharn of Luang Por Thammachak, featuring a standing Buddha statue in the "Preventing Illness" posture.
🙏 Luang Por To, an ancient Buddha statue located at the front of the temple.
