The Grand Palace in Bangkok

It was my 4th day in Bangkok and I booked a walking tour.

I learned about the Kings here. This palace had English architecture initially but Rama II said "We're Thai" so the roof was replaced with a Thai style roof on it.

It's really interesting how Thai royalty has European connections and influence. This is one evidence of it.

Tips:

1. The palace grounds closes before 4 pm so book the morning or afternoon as it can get really hot midday
2. Bring water and wear a hat
3. You can also get a free ticket to the National Theater so stop by there to cool off.
