Wat Phichitthayakaram Worawihan, a beautiful temple on the Thonburi side
Located at the foot of Phut Bridge, it was originally an abandoned temple. Somdet Chao Phraya Borom Maha Phichaiyati (That Bunnag) renovated it around 2372 - 2375 during the reign of King Rama III.
The architecture of this temple is a mixture of Thai and Chinese styles.
The ordination hall is built in Chinese style, without gable or raka leaves. The principal Buddha image in the ordination hall is a molded Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya attitude, named "Phra Siddhartha" or as the locals generally call him "Luang Pho Somprathan".
There is also a large prang, measuring 33 wa 2 sok in circumference, and 21 wa 1 sok 10 inches in height along the top of the Naphasula. It houses four molded Buddha images, facing four directions. There are two small prangs, each measuring 15 wa in circumference and 11 wa, 1 cubit, 1 span, and 2 krabiads high. The eastern side enshrines the Bodhisattva Sri Ariya. The western side enshrines four replicas of the Buddha's footprints, carved on stone slabs. It is assumed that they are antiques, but it is not known where they were brought from.
