In Bangkok, Thailand, where there are many temples, Wat Pho is famous for its reclining Buddha.
It is said to be an ancient royal temple that King Rama I ordered to be built so that monks could study the law, and it is said that Thai massage originated here, so you can receive the Thai massage that you receive every day at this temple.
It is said that you can throw away your worldly desires by putting 108 coins into each of the 108 bowls lined up in a row. You can do this by purchasing 108 old coins that are no longer in use for 20 baht (about 80 yen).
If you go to Wat Pho, be sure to try it.
It is located about a 4-minute walk from Sanam Chai Station on the MRT, and the entrance fee is 300 baht (about 1,200 yen).
When I visited in May 2024, it didn't seem particularly crowded, so I was able to walk around at a leisurely pace.
Address: 2 Sanam Chai Rd, Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200 Thailand
