Princess Mother Memorial Park. The meaning of Princess Mother is a bit confusing. Princess is an honorific title for the mother. In general, Princess Mother refers to Princess Galayani Wattana, the mother of King Rama VIII and King Rama IX, Bhumibol Adulyadej, Srinakarin; that is, the grandmother of King Rama X.
The park was built by Kings Bhumibol Adulyadej, Rama VIII and IX, in memory of their mother. It is said that this is where Srinakarin lived as a child. Srinakarin is a Chinese in Thailand, born into a commoner family with a poor background. A bronze statue of Srinakarin is erected in the park, looking kind and peaceful. The park is not big, but the scenery is beautiful. Many people walk here. It is a very good park.
