We are at Wat Phra Sri Mahathat, a famous temple in Bang Khen area. This temple was just built during the government of Field Marshal P. Phibunsongkhram to be a monument of democratic governance. It was originally called Wat Prachathipatai. The location of the construction is near the Monument to Protect the Constitution.

While it was being built, it received the relics of the Lord Buddha, a branch of the Bodhi tree, and soil from the pilgrimage site in India, so the name was changed to Wat Phra Sri Mahathat.

This temple is similar to Wat Benchamabophit both inside and outside.

To get to this temple, you can take the Pink Line and the MRT, and then walk along the Skywalk to the temple.
