Royal Relics: A Trip to Suan Pakkad Palace and Wat Saket

#BangkokItinerary
At dawn, I stepped into Suan Pakkad Palace, a former royal residence now one of Bangkok's most elegant museums. Several ancient Thai-style stilt houses nestle amidst lush gardens, each housing a treasured collection of royal artifacts and art. I stopped at the Lacquerware Gallery to examine the exquisite paintings depicting ancient life, feeling as if I had traveled back in time and glimpsed the elegance of bygone aristocrats.

In the afternoon, I journeyed to Wat Saket, one of Bangkok's iconic temples. Climbing the 300 steps to the summit, a gentle climb afforded breathtaking views of the surrounding city. Upon reaching the summit, a resplendent golden stupa loomed before me, its fluttering golden prayer flags adding a touch of solemnity. From the temple's rooftop, I gazed down at the streets of Bangkok, a crisscross of skyscrapers and the old city. The setting sun painted the sky crimson, a perfect end to the day.
