Wat Kalyanamit is located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in the Wat Kalayan community. There is currently a wide walkway along the river from Wat Kalyanamit to Phuttha Bridge.

Some sala kan parian is called Phra Wihan Noi, which looks exactly like a chapel, except for the yellow gable color, while the chapel is red.

It is a Thai-Chinese architecture in the royal style, with large, square pillars supporting the roof. The gable is made of brick and mortar, without ornaments, decorated with glazed tiles.

The principal Buddha image in the sala kan parian is a large bronze cast in Sukhothai art, but was modified in the reign of King Rama III.
