Can we really control the world, or are we simply controlled by the world? "PASSORN SCAPE", an exhibition that arouses curiosity about what is called ‘freedom’ by artist Karms (Kam – Thammathat Saithong)
Under the melody of chaos hidden in the silence, "PASSORN SCAPE" conveys the silent screams of the human mind onto the canvas with exquisite painting techniques, combined with surrealist imagination in the Pop Surrealism style, creating characters that are more than just paintings, but are reflections of the ambiguity, contradiction, and fragility of the human mind.
This exhibition is based on the question of “freedom”, something we think we can really possess? Or are we the ones who are possessed by the context and conditions around us?
Karms uses his character, the “many-eyed demon”, as the main character to explore the state of existence, feelings, yearnings, and internal conflicts. Truth or deception? Freedom or submission?
The works in this exhibition are conveyed through dark-dark paintings, full of intricate details, fantasy elements. The cute cartoonish characters are terrifying and bound by chains and thorns, making us feel like we have entered an unfamiliar world, full of mystery in a beautiful and engaging way.
This exhibition is a space for us to question ourselves and stop thinking about things that seem to be in our control, but there is something that controls us.
