✨️This palace was a palace during the reigns of King Rama V and VI. During the reign of King Rama VII, the Royal Railway Department renovated Phaya Thai Palace into a first-class hotel for foreigners to stay. It opened on February 18, 1925, in accordance with the royal wish of King Rama VI to grant this palace to be a first-class hotel in the country. Since the royal initiative to organize the Siam State Museum to develop commerce and the tourism industry, during that time, Phaya Thai Palace was used as the location of the first radio station in Thailand, broadcasting on February 25, 1930. The Railway Department operated the Phaya Thai Palace Hotel for 6-7 years before going out of business.
