When Her Majesty Queen Savang Vadhana was staying at Phayathai Palace, ThewaratSapharomThrone was used as the audience hall for the royal family. Her initials, สผ, were engraved on the pediment. Her original name was Her Majesty Queen Saovabha Phongsri.

Byzantine architecture with a large dome in the center, supported by a curved roof on 4 sides.

It was once used for important religious ceremonies, welcoming private guests, and for staging plays and movies.

It is currently rented out for various events.
