Hidden Gem in Bangkok: The Century-Old Nai Lert Estate.
1 Business Information/Asian City Business Exploration – Bangkok.
Nai Lert Estate, a century-old secret in the heart of Bangkok.
About a 10-minute walk from Central World, next to the newly opened Aman, recommended to visit in the morning. A century-old heritage left by the three-generation female leaders of the Thai Nai Lert family. Nai Lert once established Bangkok’s first bus route, introduced refrigeration technology, and promoted Thailand’s modernization.
The entire building combines Thai teakwood structure with European colonial style.
A glimpse into the lifestyle of early Thai elite. At the core of the estate stands the third tallest tree in Bangkok, with poetic light and shadow under its shade, surrounded by koi fish by the pond—perfect for soaking up some European vibes.
Among the three restaurants, I chose Samantao Heritage Coffee.
Traditional Bangkok breakfast, run by several elderly ladies. The riverside location is very popular, so it’s recommended to come early. After your meal is served, be sure to watch your food carefully, or the pigeons will be faster than you~
Address: Nai Lert Park, Lumpini, Bangkok
Hours: 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Closed Monday and Tuesday)
