Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is one of the most iconic buildings. Nicknamed the "Thai Eiffel Tower," Wat Arun is located on the magnificent banks of the Chao Phraya River, with its main prang towering 82 meters high, making it a striking landmark on the Bangkok skyline.
Wat Arun is situated beside the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, and the most convenient way to get there is by boat. You can easily reach Pier N8 by taking a river boat from several piers in downtown Bangkok, and Wat Arun is right there, making transportation very convenient.
When visiting Wat Arun, remember to follow the temple's dress code: no shorts, sleeveless tops, backless clothing, or ripped jeans are allowed. Many people also wear traditional Thai costumes here; you can hire a photographer or take photos yourself. There are many affordable Thai costume shops around Wat Arun to choose from.
