Visit Wat Arun, make merit, and get beautiful photos too

Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan, commonly known as Wat Jaeng, is an ancient temple located in the Bangkok Yai district. You can get there by boat or car. Currently, there is a popular trend of wearing traditional Thai costumes to take photos at Wat Arun. You can rent costumes at nearby shops starting at 200 baht. On this trip, we came to pay respects and make merit, and take some photos, but we didn’t wear traditional Thai costumes. The temple features many beautiful architectural elements, such as the prang decorated with unique glazed tiles and the legendary giant statues of Wat Jaeng and Wat Pho. Walking around here is never boring. The temple is open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
